Weddings

Here are examples of what customers will typically ask for a piper to do on their wedding day

Ceremony

Arrive at the ceremony prior to service in order to play guests in to the service
Play for the arrival of the bride and play her into the ceremony
Sometimes we are asked to play the bride down the aisle, this can easily be arranged- just ask!
Occasionally we are asked to play inside the venue for the finale of the service. Again this is no problem to arrange
More typically the piper will wait for the wedding party to exit the building and play outside when photographs are being taken and the confetti is being dispensed

Reception

The piper will usually play in the background while guests are receiving refreshments
The icing on the cake comes when the top table and then the bride and groom are marched to their seats with a rapturous round of applause for the newly weds!

Please note that this is just a typical example of the kind of service we offer. Any special requests will be tailored where possible.

Funerals

A piper is often sought to add an extra touch when saying goodbye to a loved one.

From my experience these are the kind of things I have been asked to do;

Play when taking the coffin from the house to the hearse
Play on the arrival of the hearse to ceremony
Play while the coffin is being lowered to the grave/ enters the crematorium
Sometimes the piper is requested to play later in the day at the reception area

As always any other requests will be tailored to suit and also any requests regarding suitable pieces of music will be seen to and advised upon.

Corporate

Having a piper at any sort of corporate event can really help add something special to any event, especially for welcoming international guests or just for attracting attention to your event.

I played for the Mayor of Havanna's visit to Glasgow during his visit in 2001 and have also played numerous store openings and food fairs throughout Scotland.
